Poggi Brothers 100th Anniversary

February 6, 2023

The Poggi Brothers, Fratelli Poggi, an international company that supplies roman travertine stone from its company owned quarries in the form of blocks, slabs, cut to size and objects, today marks 100 years of delivering qualitative stone products and solutions globally.

Throughout our 100 years, we have supported our customers and communities, and developed high-quality roman travertine stone products” said Mauro Poggi, one of the company’s Parners. “I don’t think that the my grand-father could have imagined 100 years ago that our company would have grown to be such a reference point in the stone market”. He continues “In fact, you don’t reach 100 years in business without facing challenges, disruption and uncertainty at one time or another. Throughout our long and storied history, we have confronted difficult times, including the Cold War, World War II, the Great Recession of 2008, and each time we have come out stronger. The pandemic has disrupted every sense of normalcy around the world, impacting the lives of many. Our primary concern remains protecting the welfare and safety of our employees, who serve our clients every day. Through this global crisis and Ukrainian war, our teams continue to carry great pride in the work they do to power our stone, and secure the foundation we’ve built for our second century.

The 100th anniversary is a remarkable milestone for a company that began in 1923, when Antonio and Vincenzo Poggi, the founders of the company, first decided to start their venture.
